Moss, moss, everywhere. Luckily the terrain is getting smoother, no more sharp rocks underneath the green moss, waiting to break your ankles. The forest looks like no one has been here for ages. No B&B for you. The good news is that the animals don't fear humans and you should have no problem catching yourself some dinner.

[withdraws canteen and pushes herself up to face him]

[ that's just wasting water, it won't make him stop. quite the opposite. blinks in surprisement, amused by this sudden turn of events. ]

[idly twists the cap back on while watching him drip so...drippily]

I don't think I'd need much more than a request to get that.

[ thank god his guyliner is water-proof! brushes wet hair back from his face. ]

[still not backing down from the initial canteen dumping. a step back could and should have occurred, but instead she just takes a controlled breath and tilts her chin up at him]

[ almost close enough to drip on her. there are water drops in his eyelashes as she's close enough to see. tilts his head slightly, trying to deduce what's going on in that cute little head. ]

We're not that different, you and I. We both love a good challenge.

[jaw locks and unlocks as she thinks, fingers fiddling with the canteen thats between them before one hand lifts off and reaches up to brush a bead of water that's collected on his chin.]

You'll have to try harder than that.

[ automatically leans into the touch even though it's very brief and neutral. does nothing about the dripping, just stands very still as his eyes follow her every move. ]

[keeps her hand there, almost warily as she looks from it back up to match his gaze. tough, know it all exterior slightly wavering before she holds it back again.]

Enough to convince me to lose.

[ wants to move but decides against it. it's like he's waiting (and hoping) for something to happen and not wanting to ruin it. the teasing tone is completely gone from his voice. it started as just another game but now he's probably betting in too much. ]

[welp okay, she thinks she blew it. she doesn't know what she's doing, and that tone probably's told her she shouldn't be doing it. lets her hand drop]

[a bit taken back by the earnestness of him, but then grows slightly troubled. like it was way easier when they were pretending, but now not so much. but there just comes a moment where she stops herself and reaches back up to pull him down]

[ wonders if she knows how long he wanted to say that. catches her hand, tugs her closer and leans in to kiss her. ]

[breath hitches slightly as he reels her in, discards the canteen as she leans up to kiss him right back]

[ lets go of her when she's close enough and carefully brings up his hand to touch her face, gently caressing her jawline with his thumb. it's quite different from the moments he shared with clara 1.0, now there's emotion instead of heat, but you wouldn't know lol. ]
