(plot post )
So upon asking around in Hugel, you've learned that Arunafeltz has been abandoned for some years now. Something about the majority of the city disappearing off until the remainder moved off to Lighthalzen and left the city as a ghost town. Many of them have heard of the traveling machine, but never had seen it for themselves, except for a few who can recount their friends or family members going off world.
The journey to Arunafeltz shouldn't take more than a day. Once you get there, you should start rooting around the city center. Explore a little bit, and enjoy yourself. Your company. You're this much closer to getting home.
[Mission: Explore the city and rig your ride home.]

[door squeaks itself open to the glass room. the machine itself takes up nearly the entire room with all its brassy fixtures and components. you can hear the soft sobs of the fog babies echoing in the large tubes situated at 4 corners of the room. they look empty, but little whisps now and then makes their presence known]

Guess that's it.
[ using machinery with fog babies? that's just asking for trouble. no wonder the city was abandoned. ]

[ strides on in to go and inspect the little fogbaby torture chambers. ]

[taps on the glass. when did he get here?
makes a face at a face in the fog.]

[tears fall into the bottom of the tube down a little pipe into the floor]

So a rejected schematic from Wild Wild West is gonna save us. Awesome.
[at least there's no musical numbers. circles back around to look for a way to operate it]

[taps a little harder. frowns at dean over his shoulder because he only saw like one episode but he didn't like it and what's with dean and shitty tv anyhow.]
Sure beats ritual human sacrifice, though.

[ where's the doctor person. pokes the glass a bit, causing the fog to swirl. ]

[there is no key]

Can't anything be easy? [ walks over to the panel and squints at it ] Any ideas?
no subject
[dont tempt me ill lockpick it and we'll all die. shuffles to a stop to shine light over the console and kind of leans shoulder away from a tube where a fogbaby is making mouthy faces at him]
What're you lookin at, ugly?
[guess we have ourselves a fetch quest]
no subject
[ turns away from the tube and looks at the unlit control console. ]
There had to be an operator left behind, to man the machine.

[ this is starting to look pretty hopeless tbh. ]
no subject
Looks pretty well abandoned to me.

[ thx for the input conny. we can all see that.
to cas: ] What, so someone knows what to do? [ that'd be cool. and. helpful. ] Too bad this is a pretty empty place.
no subject
I can't see any red buttons.
[ hi. ]

[flashlighting curiously into the fogbaby tube. what is that.]

[dainty lady voice]
Gee, Rige, it's so simple, anyone could operate it!

[glances over shoulder at cardboard parade]
