Moss, moss, everywhere. Luckily the terrain is getting smoother, no more sharp rocks underneath the green moss, waiting to break your ankles. The forest looks like no one has been here for ages. No B&B for you. The good news is that the animals don't fear humans and you should have no problem catching yourself some dinner.

[ finishes her side of the work and walks over to watch him struggle. ]

[ soaks a rag on a bottle of whiskey hook and the others stole and nudges it between the branches before he lights it on fire. ]
I manage, but better leave the cooking to someone else.

Fair enough. You do enough work as it is.
[ carrying Everything etc. ]

We all do our share. Well... Most of us, anyway. [ glances at the Useless People ]

[ you know who you are. ]

How's your arm?

[ smiles. if this was the apocalypse she'd be shitting herself with worry but it's safer here. they have more people too. and they just tackled a haunted forest. ]

[ looks at his sad fire. ]
After you manage to boil some water on that.
no subject
Is that a challenge? [ kinda amused, poking at the fire. it's. it's getting there. ]
no subject
[ competitive? her? psh. don't be silly. ]
no subject
Okay, let's get you some water. [ it's nice to be useful and helpful in a normal situation instead of a life and death one.
comes back with a little pot with some water to boil it, looking over his shoulder to the forest ]
Quiet, huh?
no subject
[ set up some sort of a system while he was gone where they can hang the pot over the fire and boil the water. ]
Better dig out your Master Chef knives.

[ also brought a couple of new bandages for her. hands it over while they talk ]
I think we'd starve otherwise.
no subject
Yeah, 'cause you eat like a bear.
[ you're the same size too. haha. she meant no harm by that. starts taking off the old bandages. ]
no subject
[ puts some more wood in this fire ]
no subject
[ nleuughh bloody bandages. winces a little when she takes them off. ]
no subject
he just watches her do that since he's pretty sure she can take care of herself and looks again to the forest ]
So, Daryl's your, uh, friend? From home?
no subject
[ andrea's her friend. others, debatable. ]
[ tosses the old ones into the fire and moves to put one of the clean bandages into the boiling water. she'll need to clean the wound first. ]

I trust him.
[ that's why you're asking right? ]
[ looks back down on her arm again. it's healing nicely. ]
no subject
Is he, uhm. [ awkwardly rubs the back of his neck. points at her wound and arches his eyebrows up. you know. do we have to cut off his head too. ]
no subject
Yeah.
[ returns to her work. it's like talking about weather to her. ]
no subject
[ watches her work on the wound and nods, rubbing his beard. it's getting big and santa-like. except it's not white. ]
Don't you guys... Like, isn't there a cure for that?
no subject
[ people eventually stopped mentioning the cure at some point. guess it hurt too much. ]
