So upon asking around in Hugel, you've learned that Arunafeltz has been abandoned for some years now. Something about the majority of the city disappearing off until the remainder moved off to Lighthalzen and left the city as a ghost town. Many of them have heard of the traveling machine, but never had seen it for themselves, except for a few who can recount their friends or family members going off world.

The journey to Arunafeltz shouldn't take more than a day. Once you get there, you should start rooting around the city center. Explore a little bit, and enjoy yourself. Your company. You're this much closer to getting home.

[takes a deep breath and looks back up at him. scratching at the scruff along the side of his face almost fondly before she pulls away.]

[starts moving to the stairs and nods him a long with a more forced smile]

[ waits til she's gone and then pulls a ring out of his back pocket. silver with an opal. that's it. but then again he knew that already. saw it way before the village. ]

[ rolls it between his fingers, lost in thought. it's not worth much but a pirate always keep a souvenir of his conquest. ]

[as he speaks, picks up his hunting knife and slashes across his palm. squeezes a small puddle of blood into the (formerly) clean circle. pulls out a flask with an apple on it and pours a little gold liquid on top. it stays in the shape of a disc. magic.]

[drops something from his pocket in the liquid. against the marble at the bottom, like a teeny tv screen, are images of a circus. family fun. blonde idiots in love. if you ask him why he's stalking hyperion he'll shoot you.]

That, for purposes of comparison, is what it looks like when you're looking for someone who's still here.

[gingerly picks the beard hair out of the liquid and flicks it away. pulls out the finger bone he kept and, fuck it, sets the whole thing in. the circle goes opaque black.]
