So it seems like getting rid of the apple trees will break the curse! Great news!
The bad news are that the townsfolk still under the curse will defend their trees to the last breath and the oldest apple tree in the marketplace is surrounded by guards.
When and if the curse breaks all your memories (and powers) will return and everything will be normal again. Or not, haha. Enjoy the awkward.
[ mission: fight it out. ]
[ the list of people who have broken their curse so far: clara, dean, cas, constantine, graham, hel, daniel. ]

[you're killing me]

You're-- the hotel guy.

Hello...
[ clearly distracted. looks past them at the apple trees being set on fire and cut down in the background. turns back and looks at the tree he just walked out of. something's not right. scratches his jaw. ]
Why are there so many?

[ hey is that a portal. ]
no subject
[ what. how. random portal guy. ]
[ also startled by an angel? ok. today is weird. ]

[with your wacky shenanigans spellwork business. what did i say about the next time you used that shit on us. hi cas.]

What the hell, man? I thought you were a good guy? What's all this shady business with the trees?
no subject
[ oh hey it's that he-witch who looks like your dad. awkward. ]
no subject
[ shakes his head. no, no, this is not good at all. walks past them to the nearest apple tree still growing strong in the street and inspects it. ]
I only gave him one.
no subject
[ not so sure about the good guy part. still holding onto his axe. ]
no subject
[not in the mood for this shit. holds axe up when he holds hands out irritably. you did the thing. with the tree. gave him the tree thing. your fault. don't see how it changes anything. get on with your exposition]
no subject
[ wants an axe too. ]

We made a deal. Me and the duke. He gave me money to start my business. In exchange I gave him an apple tree that he wanted. There was only one and the apples were... Well. It wasn't supposed to work at all.
[ now he's feeling guilty. knew the duke was a shady guy but figured he wouldn't be smart enough to cause trouble. plucks up the tiny apple tree sapling. ]

Okay so. Let me see if I got this. You put a loaner out on a cursed, evil apple tree to a rich douchebag and you thought the dude was gonna, what, get into his lifelong dream of gardening?
[just. nevermind. forget that. dad's obviously not the brightest bulb. you made him get gay married. and live a life of celibacy. i don't think you understand how traumatic. he's suing for emotional damages]
Are there any other freebies you handed out waiting for us we should know about?

picks up an axe and hands it to cas while dean talks, keeping an eye out for any guards that might go kamikaze on their asses ]
To be honest, I don't care why he did it, I just need to know if he can fix this mess.
no subject
[ i know we're pissed at him right now but we have that question. that question about spells and how to manage them once the caster is dead. ]
no subject
I am not proud of what I did, but I had no other choice. What he was going to do with the tree was up to him. There was supposed to be only one.
[ vain bitch even made him name the hotel after him. shudders. ]
But this is not right. He couldn't have done this all by himself.
.... Where is he?
[ ignores dean's question as he works on the rest of the trees (bitch there might be), placing the saplings into a wooden basket that appeared out of nowhere. he specializes in tree magic and he's going to see that these plants go out in a peaceful way. no fire pls. ]
no subject
Go over there. Keep an eye on the... guards.
[ smallest voice. looks like you got this. you and that.. old friend? backs away slowly. ]
no subject
Tied up.
[shortly. it's not a brush off. he really is. leans axe against a fencepost and crosses arms. why does he always end up the one that has to hash it out with the npc post-plot]
You think there's another one. [juustt point me in the right direction padre]
no subject
[ just really here to look menacing with an axe now. ]
no subject
There is... something.
[ yeah. not good. he's not completely sure but yeah bad vibes. ]
Keep him still, I will deal with this first. He has no magic so it should be alright.
[ and the guards are leaving too once the curse is down to the last apple. ]
