Alright yall enough doodling around. It's nightfall in Alderwood, so grab yourself a hotel room, you can either opt for the snazzy spacious 5 star in the high class end of town or one of the less financially debilitating rooms on the second floor of the inn/pub, but expect to hear a lot of hooker noises and drunken cowboys from downstairs. You get what you pay for.

You ought to grab yourself a bounty poster and decide on a plan of action so that you have direction for your adventures tomorrow, because the Sheriff seems like he's not gonna stand for you taking advantage of their kindness if you're not going to hold up your end of the bargain.

There are four main bounties posted in the courthouse, but they're scattered about the town on posters, too. There's Dewie Martin, the highest paying bounty, Earl Johnson, Janna Turner and Billy Turner. There are other, lesser bounties, but those seem to be the four the Sheriff's really pushing for.

[ breathes through his open mouth and stares at them both. there's something like a frozen smile on his face. it should make you feel quite uneasy. with slow movements he takes off his hat and sets it on the counter. ]

[ suddenly he bursts into a loud laugh. it's cold and thoroughly fake but he's making such a big deal out of it that you might take it for a real laugh for a second. it's disturbing really. ]

[makes a little delighted noise and scoots up to her elbows under her, running a hand up her side to rest at her shoulder before leaning up to kiss at her collar]

[ keeps a close eye on their reactions as he slowly quiets down. slams his hand on the counter in a friendly and manly fashion but it comes off as if he's overacting. ]

He's known round these parts. Used to come around peddlin a miracle cure, that lying sack of horse shit. Swore up and down it'd do all kinds of good for you for "Only a dollar per bottle!" O'course it wouldn't do you no good to only get the one bottle, you see, you had to have a steady supply, rest of your life. Nothin but a two-bit snake oil salesman.

[ funny how he happens to mention himself first. sure he loved her and still does, but you can't help wondering if there's some ridiculous hurt pride in there somewhere because hook isn't that noble. never was. ]

[looks between the gentlemen with an air of amusement. he's not particularly interested in bounty hunting, but he'll listen for anything that might interest him. he's more concerned about the lunatic they're sharing a beer with than a run down scammer]

[ well at least he doesn't sound dangerous?? nods along the barkeep's words and takes another sip of his beer, letting raylan handle the crazy drunk that's apparently very good with horses ]

I may be little, Mr. Clarence, but I am not small. There are more ways of getting things done than going in guns blazing. The people I'm with, well they're not so good at that admittedly, but I've got a plan.

[raises glass off the counter as a little mock salute. if he was expecting him to disapprove, walked into the wrong gin joint. not that he expects he'll have much luck, seeing as they're cordoned off in a shitty alternate universe or something]

[ someone probably died during that fuss because you don't kick jesse around without consequences. follows the story with his mouth half-open as if he froze in fascination, looking like he might start laughing again any minute now. ]

Dewie Martin, that murdering sack of shit, crazier than a run over coon and mean enough to eat off the same plate with a snake to boot. They're what you call birds of a feather.
