The sun rises and the forest is very quiet. No sign of the guards. Maybe Jakky and Jessica found out a way to distract them or maybe she just ate them all... you'll never know. That's good news so try not to dwell on it.
If you keep your eyes on the skyline you may notice a pack of crows flying past. When you travel the flora and fauna around you change like they should, but those damn birds are just here to stay apparently. Someone really paranoid might think they're following you, haha!
[ mission: move on. ]

...Fine.
[grumpy, leery, and tired all rolled into one word. he glances after the party that's long gone way down the road before dropping his bag back down, pulling rumpel's spellbook out of it and setting it on a tree stump open on the page for a tracking spell]
We got one shot.
[looks up at him in warning. they can only get the jump on him once, so if something fucks up they're all boned because of it... ie dont be the guy that screws it for everyone]

he looks at the book (it looks familiar) and nods at dean, putting his bag down next to his. he has shane's beretta tucked in his pants and keeps it there, just in case, desert eagle by his side ]
What's the plan?

[pulls a what can you do face. at least they're on the same page re:book burning. speaking of pages, he rips a couple out of the back of the book to use in the spell, spreading a map of the area out on the stump next to it before running a finger down the page with the incantation, giving a shrug and starting to read aloud. he always feels like something out of the craft when he has to do this junk.]

pulls the desert eagle out and then looks at icarus ]
You have anything to protect yourself?

looks again at icarus and nods ] If you say so. [ pulls the safety off and looks at what dean's doing ]

tosses junk back in bag and gets ready to go when he gets a read come on ladies]
Less than a days walk from here, let's get a move on. But we're gonna need a speed advantage.
[starts heading back towards bekmek]

Horses?

Where did you get the book?

Clara had it.
[it's not that he wants to lie to him he just doesn't think it's necessary to out constantine as a dirty backstabbing traitor bitch if he's not going to go through with it. which is what the whole point of this excursion is, to make sure he can't go through with it. and clara did have it, before she gave it to constantine.]
[scouts a stable on the outskirts of the city that's still quiet this time of morning. they could easily get in and out. operation MI horse stealing engage]

[ checks to make sure no one's nearby ]
We're clear.

sneaks in the stable, making sure icarus didn't miss a stranger in the middle of the mess, and nods
come here horsie. ]

[we meet again, nemesis.]
[no but he's gonna lead it away from the stable toward the forest with a saddle on his arm before trying anything because the last time he tried to crawl up on a horse he felt like a whale flopping onto the beach and he needs some space for this.]
no subject
[ it's a friendly donkey. he's good with animals. ]
no subject
that's great kiddo.
isn't very good with horse riding either and it's still an Uncomfortable crotch time, but at least he has enough arm strength to ungracefully haul himself up the freaking beast.
whenever u ready bro ]

[whining at his horse. fuck you both. he found a stump to stand on and manages to psych himself up after mumbling a 1, 2, 3... to himself, crawling up and over onto its back with an uncertain wobble when it takes a step to the right while he's still settling]
Where's Henry Ford when you need him, right?
[uneasy smile. trying to be a big boy about this but balancing precariously on a horse isn't helping his nerves. gives it a little kick and starts off in the right direction]
no subject
[ thinks about it. cars would be more useful than horses, but less quaint. and less friendly. ]
Which way are we going?
no subject
tilts head at dean like damn right. he's not too good with this horse bullshit, but he Tries. ]
Just follow Dean. [ kicks the horse and follows him ]
no subject
Okay, Trigger. No sudden moves and we're gonna be best friends. Hi ho-
[don't judge him he talks to things when he's nervous. tilts forward to grab the horn of the saddle when it kicks up into a trot and off they go]
[horse traveling montage]

Did you get an exact location?
no subject
[slows horse to a stop as the road leads into said town. there's a creaky old sign next to them that reads SUMMERHILL, but its so worn down its hard to read and only one nail is keeping it up, so it kind of hangs sadly]
[the horses don't seem to like the place, it's all very spooky western ghost town. quiet breeze, door hinges creaking, all its missing is a tumbleweed]
[makes a face across at both of them before he starts whistling the theme from for a few dollars more]
no subject
why is he surprised that there's a western looking ghost town in this place? no idea. but he is. ]
