So....that was a bust. Some people are coming back after going home while others are waking from their dreams. Night is falling, so you better catch up with the vagabonds that stayed behind and get all who's come back together once again. There's plenty of shelter around, so just pick a building. Have a reunion.
[Mission:Regroup and camp up]

[probably a point that should have occurred to him too, but oh well. he just got up.]
Okay, how about this: You guys stay here in case our candle gathers moths, we'll head out and see if we can find the others, come back and stay the night in the castle which is presumably both more defensible and more watertight than the open road, then head out to, to wherever we're going in the morning?

Sounds like a plan.
no subject
[ but a night within walls sounds better than the open road, so he doesn't argue further ]
Are we to expect beasts in the road? [ points at daniel ] I am not to guard the little man like a wet nurse.
no subject
[nods at clara and starts walking toward the front door. a little more briskly than usual, because he's sort of used to this shit but this is getting ridiculous, and crixus has managed to be even ruder than jack or dean, which is quite the feat.
stops a bit down the corridor and turns around to look at him.]
I don't actually need a guardian. I mean I can understand that the air force uniform and submachine gun mean nothing to you, but for crying out loud everyone on this planet thinks I'm some kind of helpless idiot. Except for Derek, who apparently thought I was about to shoot him in the back, and isn't it great that that's the closest anyone's come to treating me like I'm an actual adult.
no subject
...Good luck.
no subject
[ jk he was wandering around the castle and now he's coming back. just to see the others leave. ]
That's going to end well.
What do you think they'll bring back? A bear or an army?
no subject
Better than nothing.
no subject
And none of them appreciated the traveling company either.
[ no seriously they all mostly hated our guts. why go look for them seriously. hel's nice for the eyes but she'll just punch me in the face. ]
no subject
[it feels like ive been awake since the beginning of time]
no subject
[ you sure look like you could use the rest. ]
[ limps over to the chair where he sat earlier and takes a seat. rest does sound good right now. ]
no subject
[even though she sort of wants to]
no subject
[ hides the judging eyebrows by looking down. takes out the pearls he found earlier. ]
no subject
[picks at her bracelet for a moment in this awkward not awkward silence]
I remember now.
no subject
[ not That. please no. ]
[ fiddles with the pearls. keeping the tone light. ]

he doesn't know what air force means. or submachine gun. it sounds like words baby blab out. ]
You complain like a woman. [ doesn't stop when he turns around to snippy snap at him, keeps on walking. ]
no subject
[grouses at the back of crixus' head but turns to follow him regardless.]
no subject
I'm Graham, by the way...
[ not that you seem interested. ]
no subject
How are your tracking skills?
no subject
[oh he didn't mean me, he meant graham. snaps his teeth shut. at least graham's probably going to be able to talk to this guy about stuff.]
Graham, Crixus.
[under his breath, nudging graham in the side.]
no subject
[ not to brag but he really is good at that shit. also he agrees with the clothes thing. both me and you son. he'd rather wear his hunter outfit but what can you do. at least the boots were made for walking. ]
no subject
Surprising. [ driest tone.
yes actually because y'all a bunch of useless non-warriors. who is he gonna spar with?? ] Then lead front. [ points the gladius forward ] We must find fallen allies to resume quest.
no subject
[hanging toward the back, muttering sarcastic comments about the Big Warrior Guy up front. ahh, just like old times.]
no subject
I don't think they mentioned which way they were headed at any point so it might be a good idea to start by the outskirts of the town and work our way from there.
It's not going to be easy though, they might have covered their tracks.
[ those paranoid freaks. ]
no subject
i mean
´
why else would they cover their tracks? ]
Why were you separated in first place?
no subject
[ugh, paranoid people.]
We thought we found a way home, but it turned out to be a little less helpful than we thought it would be.
