Alright yall enough doodling around. It's nightfall in Alderwood, so grab yourself a hotel room, you can either opt for the snazzy spacious 5 star in the high class end of town or one of the less financially debilitating rooms on the second floor of the inn/pub, but expect to hear a lot of hooker noises and drunken cowboys from downstairs. You get what you pay for.

You ought to grab yourself a bounty poster and decide on a plan of action so that you have direction for your adventures tomorrow, because the Sheriff seems like he's not gonna stand for you taking advantage of their kindness if you're not going to hold up your end of the bargain.

There are four main bounties posted in the courthouse, but they're scattered about the town on posters, too. There's Dewie Martin, the highest paying bounty, Earl Johnson, Janna Turner and Billy Turner. There are other, lesser bounties, but those seem to be the four the Sheriff's really pushing for.

It's quite a friendly enviroment, reminds me of some places where I've been.

[glances over at him and licks the last of the gasoline booze off his lip before setting his glass down next to some shards of glass from the broken window]

[ isn't it obvious. lifts the glass for him to see. it's what you do in saloons. cheers. ]

[ a bottle flies past them and hits the wall. ]

[ducks as bottle hits wall and shatters, leaning back to look at the guy who chucked it. as it happens he's making a run for it because the sheriffs have showed up outside, if the warning shots are any indication. some people are fleeing as you do from the popo.]

[looks back to hook with an unimpressed half lidded look. but he's giving even less fucks than usual today so he just waves to the empty seat next to him. it's covered in glass and broken chair pieces but you know, it'll do]

[ places a foot on one of the lower bars of the stool and tips the chair just so that the shit falls off of it neatly. takes a seat. ]

[ judging by the yelling in the back the missing flower has also made an appearance somewhere. ]

Yeah, cus being drinking buddies with the team asshole is how I usually like to spend my time.

[he minds. just not enough to get up and find another bar with a bottle he can swim in]

[looks over shoulder when the sheriff busts the saloon doors in and starts hollering at the runners. police raid. whatever, he hasn't done anything worth getting arrested over, so he's not worried about it.]

[ would tip them on august but pretty sure they'd just drag him in with the mess so not going to bother. let them do their job. hopefully they'll find august at one point and hang him. ]

Be thankful someone agrees to drink with you.

[laughs and nudges glass away as the sheriff drags one of the barfighters outside behind them]

Grateful? For the company of a guy who's just waiting for the right moment to stick a knife in me?

[glances down with a little shrug]

Well, look who's suddenly curious.

[ smirks even though he's not amused at all. grabs his glass and drinks, now facing the bar. enjoy that beautiful side profile. ]

[fuck your angsty side profile. at least the commotion has died down somewhat, what with the loudest patrons having been drug out already. now the bar's just a quiet mess. the bartender's wiping down a glass and judging them for being the only two to stick around during all that]

[cocks an elbow out to the side to turn to him. interrupts his solemn dramatically-lit angsting]

[ do you mind i'm having a moment over here. still not facing him because it's just more dramatic this way. looks down at his glass. ]

[oop. well look at you with your tortured past. how deep. he lifts his chin and drops his eyes in consideration, turning back to his drink to give him his little angsty moment there]

[ it's kinda ironic really. he has had time to look at it from all angles. plays with the half-empty glass in his hand. ]

[fiddles with the top of his glass as well, chancing another look to him. don't sympathize with the douchebag dean]

[not that it means much between them, but what with his dad and his mom, sam and jess, and now him and clara, he doesn't say it without some merit]

[ isn't that nice. he isn't looking for sympathy though. glances at him, slightly surprised by this sudden mutual understanding. ]

I am going to kill him for what he did. To me. And to her.

[ funny how he happens to mention himself first. sure he loved her and still does, but you can't help wondering if there's some ridiculous hurt pride in there somewhere because hook isn't that noble. never was. ]

[raises glass off the counter as a little mock salute. if he was expecting him to disapprove, walked into the wrong gin joint. not that he expects he'll have much luck, seeing as they're cordoned off in a shitty alternate universe or something]

[ because he's right here. somewhere. except you don't need to know that. dean would just butt in and ruin everything like he almost already did. god he would have just burst if dean had killed rumpel instead of him. ]

I have come too far to start relying on pure luck.

[honestly he has no interest in fighting hook's battles for him, he's already gotten his hands dirty the once for him with his soul business. if he'd known killing rumpel was his life's mission he probably would have just turned it over to him all things considered, kill two birds with one stone, enemy of my enemy and all that]

Yeah well given your track record with murder attempts you're gonna need something if not luck.
